MIAMI—November 29, 2022—eMed, the telehealth company that outfits your medicine cabinet with urgent care kits, today announced that Michael Cole was named President and Chief Financial Officer. Cole, who has served as CFO since December 2021, assumed the responsibilities of the President this month.
In his new role as President and Chief Financial Officer of eMed, Michael Cole helps drive the company as it expands into new verticals across the digital health ecosystem and grows its business as a leading digital healthcare platform. He is responsible for leading major operational, financial, and corporate functions, including technology and development, sales and marketing, M&A, corporate finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, accounting, human resources, legal, and corporate administration.

Prior to joining eMed, Michael Cole founded SevenSaoi Capital, a private equity investment firm, in 2016. For most of his career, Cole held positions of increasing responsibility with Madison Dearborn Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm that manages $23B in equity capital. He was a Managing Director of the firm’s Telecom, Media, and Technology Services Team and also worked on healthcare investments. He worked in a senior capacity on Madison Dearborn’s investments in MetroPCS, Intelsat Ltd., XM Satellite Radio, Telemundo, Alaska Native Wireless, The Topps Company, and many others.
Michael Cole was named a “Top 40 Global Dealmaker Under 40” by Dealmaker Magazine, a “Top 40 Under 40” leader by Crain’s Chicago Business, and a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. Cole currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Big Shoulders Fund and The Lyric Opera of Chicago, for both of which he also serves as a member of the Investment Committee.
