You’ve probably heard of eMed’s testing and screening kits for COVID-19. Now, let us introduce our Women’s Health Kits— one that tests for UTIs and one that screens for yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis.
Our kits last up to two years, so you can order ahead and have them on hand if you need them in the future.
How does it work?
The kits are super simple to use. All you have to do is scan the QR code on your kit to begin your telehealth session.
A proctor will walk you through the steps, explaining how to collect your sample and test it.
Unlike some of our other tests, the proctor won’t watch you collect your sample — you’ll do this in private. You should receive results within 15 minutes of testing your sample.
If your results indicate a UTI or a vaginal infection, a clinician will evaluate your symptoms and prepare a prescription for you and have it sent to your pharmacy of choice the same day.
Anything else I need to know?
Just a few:
- You’ll have to have a valid form of identification when you begin your telehealth session (a driver’s license or passport will do just fine).
- Please don’t open your kit until your proctor is online, and make sure the device you’re using (whether it’s a smartphone, laptop, or tablet) has the audio and video sharing settings turned on.
- If you’re using a smartphone or tablet, you’ll also want to ensure you have something you can lean against to keep your hands free during your session.
Finally, have your preferred pharmacy's name, address, and phone number on hand to share with your proctor in case your kit indicates a positive result.
