Care when you need it at no cost to you
Whether you need care now or want to prepare in advance for a sick day, we’re here. Enroll in our at-home COVID-19 test-to-treat program to get access to virtual care and treatment on-demand and at no cost to you.
The home test to treat program is about getting you fast, convenient, and at-home access to care and treatment for COVID-19 when you need it.
We want you to feel prepared and supported any time you start feeling sick. When you take part in this program, you can receive an eMed Test to Treat Telehealth kit™ (which includes a live proctored testing experience) to test and treat at home, get on demand telehealth visits, and receive a prescription for antiviral treatment (if medically eligible) – all in one process and at no cost to you.
We are here to break down barriers to healthcare and keep you healthy, no matter your situation.
The Home Test to Treat Program is a public health initiative and community research program implemented by eMed, and supported by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering’s RADx Tech program and the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response.* Research for this program is conducted by the UMass Chan Medical School.
The program intends to learn more about how people use test to treat programs, if they increase access to telehealth care, and how we can improve similar programs in the future. While the program is launching with COVID-19, the learnings from this program will help inform test-to-treat programs for other diseases and health conditions as well.

How it works in 5 easy steps
Tell us a little about yourself, and let us know if or when you have symptoms.
Take a test if you are feeling sick. Our eMed Test to Treat Telehealth Kits will arrive in your mailbox (or use a test that you already have on hand).
If you test positive for COVID-19, get an immediate telehealth visit through your smartphone or computer with a single click or a scan of a QR code.
If the telehealth provider determines that your condition is medically appropriate for antiviral medication, your COVID-19 treatment can be delivered to your home next day or picked up from your favorite pharmacy.
Answer questions about yourself, your experience, and your symptoms, and we will send you a $25 gift card to thank you.
The eMed Test to treat Telehealth Kit™ combines a rapid, AT-Home test with a personalized telehealth experience.
Using the kit is as easy as:
- Scanning the QR code
- Completing a Medical questionnaire
- Taking a test
- Receiving your evaluation and prescription* from an eMed clinician
- Picking up medication* at no cost to you from your local pharmacy or having it delivered to your home at no cost to you. (*If medically eligible)
What is the Home Test to Treat program?
The Home Test to Treat program is a public health initiative in selected communities across the United States. We are studying the program to learn more about telehealth and test-to-treat programs.
You can sign up for the Home Test to Treat program if you are feeling sick, if you recently tested positive for COVID-19, or if you are not feeling sick but want to be prepared. The program provides access to at-home telehealth kits if you have symptoms and telehealth visits if you test positive. These eMed telehealth kits include:
- Over-the-counter COVID-19 antigen tests (6 total)
- Access to telehealth visits if you test positive, and
- Access to COVID-19 treatment (when eligible).
What does test-to-treat mean?
Through test-to-treat programs, you can be tested for COVID-19, see a health care provider, receive a prescription for an oral antiviral treatment (if you are eligible), and have the prescription filled—all from home. The Home Test to Treat program is limited to telehealth visits and does not offer on-site care.
What does the Home Test to Treat program hope to achieve?
Through Home Test to Treat we are hoping to learn more about test-to-treat programs - who uses these programs, if the program increases access to telehealth care, and how we can improve similar programs in the future. While the program is launching with COVID-19, what we learn from this program will help create better test-to-treat programs for other diseases and health conditions as well.
